Hello Guys,
I took the CCNA exam one year ago but I fail it. I want to retake it now, and I do my best to prepare for it. Could anyone help me with this question, please? and thank you in advance.
Which statement is true about FTP?
- The client can choose if FTP is going to establish one or two connections with the server.
- The client can download data from or upload data to the server.
- FTP is a peer-to-peer application.
- FTP does not provide reliability during data transmission.
Hi Luna,
CCNA is a starting stage for Networking Profession, I face the same thing, I fail the exam on the first attempt but I didn’t lose hope, I retook it and I completed my CCNA in 2016.
Give it another try! Good luck!
It is worth a shot, just prepare well and you will pass it! and concerning your question, this is the correct statement: The client can download data from or upload data to the server.
Good luck!

FTP is a client/server protocol it requires two connections between the client and the server and uses TCP to provide reliable connections, with FTP, data transfer can happen in either direction. The client can download (pull) data from the server or upload (push) data to the server.
