Hey Guys,
I am confused, I don’t know the correct answer to this question, I look for it, People say that the answer is C and others say that it is B.
Please, can anyone tell me the right answer! This is the question:
Which command automatically generates an IPv6 address from a specified IPv6 prefix and MAC address of an interface?
- A. ipv6 address DHCP
- B. ipv6 address 2001:DB8:5:112::/64 eui-64
- C. ipv6 address autoconfig
- D. ipv6 address 2001:DB8:5:112::2/64 link-local
Thank You !
B and C are both valid answers for me, however, since question references “specified” prefix, I think the most logical answer is “B” since “C” will just grab the prefix from the RA.
I checked three other sources and B seems to be the correct answer, we need to generate one IPv6 add from a specified prefix and Mac address indication.
The needed is an IPv6 address generated from a specified prefix and not from a delegated one, so I think that B is the right answer.
It is a Tricky Question..
I think its B because it says “specified IPv6 prefix”, Also, take note that [ipv6 address autoconfig] is not an auto-generated IP address, However, it is a dynamically assigned IP address.
Remember question says “specified IPv6 prefix”, The Ip address needs to be generated from the given prefix.so the correct one is B not C
