IPv4 is the fourth version of the Internet Protocol (IP), while IPv6 is the next-generation Internet protocol designed to eventually replace IPv4. IPv6 has a much larger address space than IPv4, among other improvements.
Some of the main difference between them is that the IPv4 addresses are 32 bits long, while IPv6 addresses are 128 bits long.
The IPv6 replaced IPv4 to accommodate the world’s growing number of networks and address the problem of IP address exhaustion.
Concerning the Components of the IPv6 and IPv4 routing tables. Both are very similar. However, IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) is more advanced and has better features compared to IPv4.
There is one notable difference between the two Internet Protocol versions is that IPv4 uses dotted decimal notation, while IPv6 uses hexadecimal notation.
