Hi Guys,
I would ask about the Auto-mdix? What is an auto-mdix? And What is Auto-MDIX feature in ethernet switches?

mdi/mdix is the type of Ethernet interface (physical and electrical/optical) used for transmission on computer networks. They must be connected using the correct twisted pair cable so that the sending pair on one end connects to the receiving pair on the other end.
To check the cable, you need to look at the connectors on both ends to see if two wires are crossed. With a normal cable, the wires at both ends look flat. With a crossover cable, you’ll see two uneven wires on one end. You’ll never see a cable with a crossover on both ends.
Auto-MDIX automatically configures cabling so that crossover and straight-through cables can be used. When an Auto-MDIX interface is connected, it corrects any incorrect wiring.
Auto-MDIX is a feature enabled on the latest Cisco switches that allows the switch to recognize and use any type of cable plugged into a specific port.
Hi Chloe,
The auto-mdix or the automatic medium-dependent interface crossover is a feature that detects Ethernet cable type.
