Hi,
I had an Altura 3-point slinger for the camera; it is comfortable to use and helps me carry my camera a lot. Honestly, I can say it really works well for me, it can hold the weight while walking without any problem, and any fear that my camera can be broken.
the problem I had with it is that it had not a stabilizing underarm strap, and the attachment to the camera is not a locking carabiner. and I feel it is more traditional than the other ones like the USA GEAR TrueShot.
My question is would you recommend the USA Gear TrueShot for me, or there is another slinger that has more features than the USA Gear TrueShot?
Thank you
Hi John,
As you said the Altura slinger can be considered as a basic slinger, it has not a lot of features, although it is very useful and you can use it to carry your heavy camera easily.
Personally, the best one for me is the USA Gear TrueShot, it has more features as you said, plus it has a fixing plate that provides a tripod thread. So you can leave your camera on and still use your tripod. and this is what I like too much.
Hi Philippe,
Thank you for your time, I appreciate it
It is very interesting, as a lot of times while working, I waste my time when I want to leave my camera, I think it is a good plus that I can benefit from it.
Thank you
Me too, I use the USA Gear TrueShot and I find it very useful and comfortable to use, what I want to add is that it has one more feature that I find very interesting to me, that it is designed to allow two slings to be connected together. So you can carry two cameras if you have one. Or maybe your spare lens on the other sling.
For me, it is a good choice!
although, The only thing I don’t like is that there is no quick release for the safety strap. This seems like a disappointing oversight for me honestly.
Interesting!
but I think I can deal with it
and it has more features that I can benefit from them.
Thank you a lot
