Hello Guys,
I am a second-career college student, over the age of 25, interested in Network Security & Engineering.
For me, CCNA seems like a great first certification to jumpstart my new career, that’s why I am preparing for the exam. However, i need your help with this question :
What makes fiber preferable to copper cabling for interconnecting buildings? (Choose three)
- easily terminated
- greater distances per cable run
- lower installation cost
- limited susceptibility to EMI/RFI
- greater bandwidth potential
- durable connections
Thank You !
Hi Rowan,
I just want to add my experience, I did the CCNA at the age of 26 when I saw traditional transmission networks were on their way out and needed a challenge. I haven’t regretted it anymore! as my CCNA opened up a new world of opportunity. I advise to don’t give up and work hard to pass the exam.
Take care and be safe!
Welcome aboard, Harper! Thank you for your advice and for sharing your experience.
I appreciate it!
I do my best to prepare for the CCNA exam, and I am lucky to find this platform as I can ask some questions I can’t find their answers to.
I want also to thank everyone who helped me each time I ask for help! and thank you also for your kind advice.
Greetings and Salutations!
Concerning your question, fiber optics offers more bandwidth than copper cable of the same diameter. in addition, optical fiber cable can carry data over greater distances and higher bandwidths than any other network medium. Unlike copper wire, fiber optic cables can carry signals with less attenuation and are completely immune to EMI and RFI.
Good Luck!
Good day mates!

Good Luck with your exam!
I got my CCNA exam last April and really the feeling is amazing. I remembered, I was afraid and stressed but I was able to find my study method. It is a good thing to practice these kinds of questions, but I advise you to take the time to well understand each concept also.
About your question, the right answers are the second, fourth, and fifth statements.
Good LUCK!
